Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid may have been axed from the One-day team for Australia, but there is some good news for them. In the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL) which starts from April 18, BCCI has decided to pay them and some other senior cricketers 10-15% more money than the highest auctioned player of the Twenty20 event. Sources said BCCI has shortlisted five cricketers — Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh — who will be called "icon players" and will be the highest paid players in the league. They will not be auctioned if they have a city team. IPL chairman Lalit Modi confirmed, "This is one of the BCCI suggestions and it awaits the nod of the IPL board. The player bids will take place next month." A top BCCI official added that regular members of the Indian team will probably make Rs 1.2 crore to Rs 2 crore from the 44-day event, with the icon players getting the highest amount. BCCI is expecting Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore to host teams for IPL. If Chandigarh doesn't have a city team, Yuvraj will be open for auction. Dhoni too will probably be auctioned.

BLACK MONDAY IN INDIAN STOCK EXCHANGE

On monday 21/01/08 BSE was down by 1408.35 (7.41%). This was history in the stock market in a day. NIFTY also down by 496.5 point . This is very bad news for investors but we can't do any thing as this is way of working of stock exhange. The index has to come down or go up then only transactions will take place.

Some of the reasons for this happening were given by experts.

American Sub-prime problem.stocks in worldwide are down.

Pressure of Marzin call. Due to fear investors sale there stocks in a large scale.

Foreign investors have sold their stocks on a large scale

What to do ?

Dont be panic, have a patience.

This is the oppertunity for investors, still wait for some time and see if it comes down more.

If you want to book profit or have to quit the market then wait for some time (The market will come back to its original position in few days ).

Congratulation to Anil kumbale & Team India for the historic win over Austroliya at Perth ( the fastest wicket in the world).
Austroliya loose by 72 runs.Much more happend in between Sydney to Perth (off the ground things ) Still Indian players kept their cool & performed well on ground.
Before the start of a play much more was written about the pitch. The prediction was that test match will last for three days only & india will loose this series here only.
But team india played very well & proved all predictars wrong.Austroliya had loss the home test first time aftar 2003
In a row Ausrolian had win 16 test matches Indians had stopped them from doing so on their 17th match once again, we had done this before in 2001, when India win in Calcutta by 171runs.Indian team is first to win over here from our region before this here on perth pak loose 5 matches, India & Shrilanka loose 2 matches each.
After 10 years Austoliyan loose test match on Perth.In feb 1997 West Indies beat them here.

This is the funny story taken from a mail received to me from a friend.

7 Engineers and 7 Doctors are going from PUNE to Mumbai.So both groups gather at Pune Station. Both groups are desperately trying to prove their superiority . SCENE 1 (PUNE- MUMBAI): -------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- - 7 engineers take only 1 Ticket and 7 doctors buy all 7 tickets.. Doctors are desperately waiting for TC to come...... When TC arrives , All 7 Engineers get in one toilet so when TC knocks, one hand come out with the ticket and the TC goes Away..... NOW on return Journey All of them don't get a direct Train to PUNE. So they all decide to take a Passenger till Lonavala, from there they can easily get a LOCAL to PUNE SCENE 2 (MUMBAI - LONAVALA): ---------------------------------- ------------------------------ ------------- ----------- Doctors decided, "this time we will prove that we too are equal"....All 7 Doctors take 1 Ticket Engineers don't buy any ticket at all!!!!!.. TC arrives.... ALL DOCTORS IN ONE TOILET.ALL ENGINEERS IN THE OPPOSITE. One engineer gets out and knocks the door of Doctors toilet, One hand comes with the tickets, he takes the ticket and comes in Engg. Bathroo! m... TC DRIVES out ALL the doctors from the toilet and they are heavily fined. SCENE 3 ( LONAVALA): ! ----------------------------------------- SO now both the group r on LONAVALA station. Doctors planning their move for last chance, they board the local to Pune. This time doctors decide that they will play the same (1 ticket) trick. ALL Doctors take 1 tickets...Engineers BUY all 7 tickets this time... SO TC Comes.. All Engineers showed their tickets ................... ..... Doctors are still searching for toilet in the LOCAL train...........
Conclusion: Technically intelligent people are geniuses, don't mess with Engineers.

Story of share-market

This is a story of how share market may be working its imaginary.Just take it as a fun

Once upon a time in a village, a new man comes his name (we call him) Suresh.

He gathers all villagers take there meeting.Asked them that he want so many monkeys .You can pick them from sideby area, I will pay Rs. 20/- per monkey cash.All villagers enthausiastc
goes to nearby forest and brings many monkeies.As per his saying he purchase all of them.
At the time of leaving the village he says next time I will come here and then i will pay Rs.40/- per monkey,so be prepared.
After few days Suresh again comes to that village takes all the monkeies over there at the cost of Rs.40/-.Thus now villagers are very happy.Then Suresh says to all villagers that the demand of monkey is increasing I want more monkeis.Next time I will come after a month at that time I will purchase monkey at the rate of Rs.150/-.
The vilagers now are in very happy mood they never can imagin of so high rate . After few days the other monkey trader visit the village his name is Mahesh.He is there to sell monkey for Rs.100/- only. The villagers think that this man is selling the monkey cheaply we will now purchse them and in the next month we will sale the same to Suresh at Rs.150/- So without making any efforts we can earn Rs.50/- per monkey.Mahesh sale all his monkeies in that village
and goes away .
Now all villagers are waiting for Suresh to come there so that they can sale him all monkeies and earn some profit. May be a month or two passes , now the villagers come to know that they are being deceived by Suresh & Mahesh.Suresh never goes to that village again.
Mahesh & Suresh are partners they have first purchse some monkey at the rate of Rs.20 then the other lot at Rs 40/-. so there average price is Rs 30. They have managed to sell the same monkeies at Rs 100/- per monkey Thus they have earn Rs 70/- per monkey .
They will never visit that village again.
Now they are planning to visit another village and use the same sucessfull formula.
This is funny concept of what can be done in share trading here .
Just take it as a joke.
